Heisenberg Professorship for Junior Professor Jens Friebe from the IAL

Jun.-Prof. Dr. Jens Friebe, who has guided the topic area "Passive Components of Power Electronics" at the IAL since 2018, has produced outstanding work with his team during this time on the application of WBG power semiconductors and the associated, new requirements for the passive components. This great achievement has now been recognized by the DFG with a Heisenberg Professorship at the University of Kassel. Prof. Friebe will thus succeed Prof. Zacharias as head of the Department of Power Electronics on March 1, 2023. We congratulate him on this great success and wish him all the best for his new position in Kassel!
