Project overview:

Aim of the project is to reduce existing barriers that impede usage of the e-car sharing concept by identifying customer-oriented, energetically optimised and economically sustainable operating models and utilisation concepts for electric cars in a car-sharing fleet. To achieve this goal, future approaches concerning vehicle components and business models will be investigated and tested in order to integrate electric vehicles into the existing car-sharing fleet and to develop an e-car-sharing concept offered at different urban sites of the show-case. One major point is also to set up a university fleet of e-vehicles under the label "Living Lab Campus Mobility" to enable additional scientific research.
