Fuel cell systems in the medium power range have high output currents and relatively low output voltages. In order to use them in applications with higher voltage requirements, DC/DC converters with large voltage transformation are necessary. At the IAL, different converters are analysed and compared with each other with respect to their voltage transformation and their efficiency . This includes current-fed as well as voltage-fed DC/DC converters.
