Control of Multilevel Converters

Led by:  Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Mertens

Multilevel converters have originally been developed to optain output voltages with less harmonics. Compared to conventional two-level converters (+DC bus and -DC bus), the output voltage has several voltage levels. In this way, multilevel converters allow for an indirect series connection of components in medium-voltage systems.
